Inside Out Vessels
Vessels exploring the relationship between interior and exterior form.
These vessels are developed through the relationship between interior and exterior form. A stepped interior is first turned into solid timber, then inverted to generate a corresponding external lid, transferring the internal geometry to the outside.
The work focuses on concentric structure and the translation of form through making. Interior space becomes the defining geometry of the object, where process and material determine the final form.
