Fresh Air Sculpture Exhibition

Quenington, Gloucestershire — May 2026

Growth I seen at Fresh Air Sculpture Show, 2026

Rachel Hutchinson presented Growth I & II, a series of sculptural seating works developed from naturally fallen oak limbs.

The pieces begin with found material rather than prepared timber. Each form is shaped through selection, carving and refinement, allowing the inherent structure of the tree to guide the outcome.

Positioned within the landscape at Quenington, the works sit between sculpture and furniture — retaining the character of natural growth while introducing a considered human intervention.
