Acrylic Bench

Quarter Sawn Oak & Acrylic Bench

This bench is developed through the lamination of coloured acrylic into a continuous striped plane. Through repetition, colour becomes structural, forming a surface that is both solid and optically active.

Set against a simple oak base, the end-grain cuts through the surface, establishing a relationship between mass and perception. As the viewer moves, the surface shifts, and the work sits between functional object and material study. The piece can be developed as a limited series through variations in colour, scale, and configuration.
